After launch
Versions and restoring
Save versions, go back in time and roll back your live website.
Open History in the left-hand menu.
Versions
A version is a complete copy of your website in the editor: every page, section, photo choice, colour and setting. Versions are saved:
- every time you publish (marked Published)
- whenever you choose Save under Save a version. Give it a name such as Before Christmas changes.
- automatically before you restore, marked Auto backup, so a restore can always be undone
Restore a version
Hover over a version and choose Restore. The editor goes back to exactly how it was then, including pages you've since deleted. Your current work is saved as an Auto backup first, so nothing is lost.
Restoring changes the editor only. Your live website doesn't change until you publish.
Published builds
Every publish also creates a build, the finished website files. The build that's currently on your website is marked Live. To roll your live website back, choose Make this live on an earlier build. Your editor isn't affected.
You can also download any build as a zip file.
