New: six website templates to choose from.

Building your website

Pages and your menu

Add information pages, rename pages, reorder your menu and set search engine details.

Your website starts with Home, Services, About and Contact. Open Pages in the left-hand menu to manage them.

Add a page

Choose Add page. Information page gives you a flexible page for anything else, such as the areas you cover, your policies, prices or FAQs. Give it a name and it appears in your menu. It starts with a heading, some text and a call to action, and you can add any sections you like (Adding and arranging sections).

If you've deleted one of the standard pages, you can add it back from the same place.

Reorder your menu

Drag pages up and down in the Pages panel. The menu on your website follows this order. Home always comes first.

Page settings

Hover over a page and choose … › Page settings to change:

  • Page name: what appears in your menu.
  • Page address: the end of the web address, for example /areas-we-cover.html.
  • Show in menu: turn this off to keep a page off the menu while still linking to it from buttons.
  • Search engine listing: the title and description Google may show. Keep the description under about 160 characters and write it for people, not robots.

Delete a page

Choose … › Delete page. Home can't be deleted. If you change your mind, restore an earlier version from History (Versions and restoring).
